Retro Rubber Challenge Blog 126 "Winter is Here!"

Today's card challenge is from the folks over at Retro Rubber. It's a Winter themed challenge. I was excited about that because I love snow! Not the kind that makes people have car accidents and travel delays, but the soft kind that you wake up to on a clear morning that leaves a quietness and peace around the neighborhood.

Having said that, it's been almost 7 years since I lived in Pennsylvania, and now that I'm in Florida, I only had one stamp set that fit the description of this challenge. At first I didn't think I could pull it off, but I'm glad I challenged myself to see what I could create with just a couple of snowflake stamps.

I had to rely heavily on patterned paper and rhinestones to give this one a more snowy feel, but I really like how it turned out.

Here's my supply list:

Sentiment:
Hero Arts Stamp Set (CL342) from 2014

Snowflake Stamps:
Hampton Arts from 2015

Dies:
Sizzix Scalloped Set

Paper:
Gifted from a friend
Unknown company

White Embossing Powder

Stampin' Up! Blueberry Bushel Ink & Card Stock

Misc. Rhinestones

Thanks so much to everyone over at Retro Rubber for another great challenge, and thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  5. I love this and I love the same kind of snow that you like too! I am still in PA and so far, no snow this season....and I really want at least one good snowfall! For now, I'll have to rely on your beautiful card...you combined those snowflakes, embellishments and papers very nicely! Thanks for sharing it with us at Retro Rubber?
